The pianos that are used for Spirio recording are in perfect regulation and are in excellent condition.
The owner’s piano has to be maintained to play as a concert instrument so that it plays exactly as the artist played.
Both the acoustic instrument and the high resolution Spirio player system have to be well maintained.
- Keeping it clean. Free of dust and build up in the Solenoids. Cleaning the plungers to eliminate any friction.
- Adjusting solenoid plunger heights so there is no lost motion between the top of the plungers and the bottom of the keys.
- Check for friction that has developed in the keys.
- Make sure there is enough tension in the repetition springs
- Adjust hammer blow distance and hammer let-off distance.
- Check for wire connections
- Firmware updates
- Run calibrations for the 88 solenoids and the pedal solenoids from the technicians’ app.
